After a year of aiming to find a job, feed the family, pay the school fees, regain health after Covid positive tests, find a balance, work to secure a job, finish the school year, graduate with the degree, welcome a baby into the world, making ends meet, growing your faith even when it is hard, keeping hope when all around you seemed hopeless, deciding to wait for just one more sunrise before giving up, trying again and again when tiredness crept in, choosing to see the best in people even though you were deeply disappointed. To you yes YOU!
Take time to reflect. Say what was good in 2021 and what was challenging. What are you grateful for? What can you stop doing that will make your life better? Is there one habit that when you start doing it will change in 2022? Keep writing down your answers or think about them.
Then sit back and know,
"You number my wanderings;
Put my tears into Your bottle;
Are they not in Your book?
When I cry out to You,
Then my enemies will turn back;
This I know, because God is for me.
In God (I will praise His word),
In the Lord (I will praise His word),
In God I have put my trust;
I will not be afraid.
What can man do to me?
Vows made to You are binding upon me, O God;
I will render praises to You,
For You have delivered my soul from death.
Have You not kept my feet from falling,
That I may walk before God
In the light of the living?"
Psalm 56:8-13
With love always,
Monique
