Passing Stella Point, we complete the final 800 to 1000 meters, with freezing fingers and toes to summit Uhuru peak. Humbled and grateful!

Kilimanjaro Machame route Day 1 is a gentle beautiful introduction to the mountain as it comes ever closer but hikes behind the clouds.

We have the sense of sight to appreciate the green after rain, life after struggle and thankfulness after prayers for provision.
