The Great Barranco glacier and breakfast wall greets us as we prepare to start Day 4 starting at Barranco camp and hiking to Karanga camp.

Kilimanjaro day 3 from Shira cave camp took us past Lava Tower through the mystical Alpine desert to Baranco camp.

At a 0.8km/h pace, our total time was 5 hours 26 minutes, 4.29 kilometers for the first hike of the second day. A second hike was to come.
